Preparing for birth at a freestanding birth center may be a bit different from what you’ve seen in the media or heard from others birthing experiences. At Guiding Star Tampa, you get to feel right at home with the option to choose from three different birthing suites. These thoughtfully designed spaces promote physiologic birth, with the benefit of evidence-based practices that align with your family’s goals.

Supporting the Whole Women
Guiding Star extends our philosophy of wholistic care far beyond the realm of childbirth. We believe in addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals. By establishing birth centers, we provide women and their families with spaces designed to promote relaxation, comfort, and trust, setting the stage for positive birth outcomes. All of our Guiding Star Centers are also required to provide an on-site childwatch space that welcomes families of all sizes, as well as quarterly childbirth education classes and/or support groups, along with other local resources or practitioners that provide care that aligns with our Guiding Star Philosophy if any of the needed services are not available at that center.
