What does Guiding Star Tampa Bay Birth & Wellness Center offer?
Guiding Star Tampa Bay Birth & Wellness Center offers personalized, holistic care for women and families, providing a full spectrum of services including natural fertility awareness education, midwifery, prenatal care, labor and birth support, postpartum care, and wellness services. Our approach centers on empowering women to make informed choices in a nurturing, family-focused environment, while offering integrated healthcare solutions that strengthen and empower every family we serve.
When will you be open for taking clients?
We are currently taking clients for prenatal care, ultrasounds, births, well woman care, menopausal support, Biote Hormone Replacement Therapy, problem GYN, STI testing, abortion pill reversal, and pregnancy confirmation on-site. Eventually we will also offer community classes, fertility awareness education, child watch, and much more!
I am pregnant now and want care from GST. What should I do?

Can anyone receive care at a birth center?
We are able to see women of all ages, as early as age 9! Please email us for specific questions about your health needs at info@guidingstartampa.org
Can anyone give birth at GST?
We care for low-risk women. Many high-risk conditions can also be cared for at GST but we will need to discuss these individually, please fill out our Intake Form and a member of our team will be in touch within 7 days.
Do you take insurance?
Guiding Star Tampa is a non-profit organization which reinvests profits to provide the best quality service to our clients. Due to the limited support of birth centers, we are out of network with insurance and your care at Guiding Sar Tampa Birth & Wellness Center is supported by self-pay services.
If your BCBS, Aetna, Cigna or United Health Care Insurance has Out-Of-Network benefits, we can honor that as a courtesy. The client is financially responsible for all services provided.
We employ Equity Billing and claims will be sent to credentialed insurance companies on behalf of clients to subsidize our self-pay prices. We do not have insurance advisors on staff and are limited in our ability to assist with insurance related requests.
We have many clients who are with health share companies or choose to pay out of pocket. We offer a sliding fee scale as well.
Do you take Medicaid?
Medicaid clients would pay the self-pay rate for services. Financial Assistance is available through our Hero Fund upon request.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
We aim to provide care for all who need it, regardless of the ability to pay. Once we receive your intake form Intake Form and specify your desire for financial assistance our client coordinator will email the application to you.
I am currently at an advanced stage in pregnancy but would love to give birth at GST. What is your transfer policy?
If you currently have prenatal care with another provider and would like to transfer, we will happily transfer your care to GST. You need to be low-risk and under 32 weeks of pregnancy.
