What is It?

Through a 10-step process, In the Wildflowers offers caring, understanding and hope to survivors.  The 10-week video & group session objectives:

  • To offer victims of childhood trauma hope for their own healing through the visual storytelling and the personal journeys of five other women.
  • To eliminate feelings of isolation and to create a safe environment for healing, by allowing the viewer to witness a similar community working toward healing.
  • To lead the viewer to the Biblical understanding and acceptance of God’s total and unconditional love.

How Does It Work?

In the Wildflowers group participants meet once a week for ten weeks, working through the ten steps of the program and viewing the DVD’s with a qualified facilitator(s). During this time each participant is strongly encouraged to meet with a professional counselor on an individual basis (if you do not have your own counselor, a referral will be made).

Cost of the Program?

The materials and cost of the program to participate is $170.  If you are not able to pay, there are numerous scholarships available.  Do not let the cost deter you from participating and starting this journey of healing.

The anticipated birth of a new baby brings much joy and excitement to families. But what happens when the news comes that their much-loved unborn baby has a life-limiting medical condition that will likely result in death?

Within moments of the devastating news parents are faced with a major decision, a decision to choose life or death. But today there is hope for families faced with a critical prenatal diagnosis.

Perinatal Comfort Care is a compassionate response that provides families with clear and relevant information that focuses on the needs of the parents as well as the baby. Our Mission… Provide a nurturing and safe partnership for families as they navigate the path following a life-limiting pre-natal diagnosis that will likely result in a pre-born or newborn death.

Our desire is to provide practical expert guidance, education and compassionate support as plans are made to honor the life of the baby, while seeking to relieve the emotional suffering and preserving the dignity and integrity of the family.

If you would like a referral, please call Program Coordinator Kathy DeSanto at 813-498-0474 or email
